Humpbacks

Humpback whales are talented singers and tricky hunters: they sing in the southern seas and hunt in icy fjords.

Minke Whales

Minke whales are curious, playful and fairly widespread. You can meet them literally everywhere.

Grey Whales

Grey whales migrate between Mexico and Alaska every year. In many places, you even see them from land.

Blue Whales

Blue whales are the largest animals in the world - and quite rare. There are good chances in Iceland, Quebec, Mexico and Australia.

Orcas

Orcas are the top predators in the world's oceans. Especially in Norway, Iceland and Canada you can meet them very reliably.

Sperm Whales

Sperm whales dive deeper than any submarine: in Norway, New Zealand and the Azores you see them close to the coast.

Right Whales

Right whales are the fattest of all whales - and yet they are very agile. You can see them breach in Australia, South Africa and Argentina.

Belugas

Belugas are also known as the canaries of the sea. They are often seen in large numbers - best in Quebec, Manitoba and Nunavut.

Fin Whales

Fin whales are the second largest whales in the world. They are most commonly found on the Azores, in Quebec and New England.
